So we are 1st timers here. we have traveled to a lot of beaches. We have a jacuzzi room in the older section, and we were wondering how much to upgrade if we choose at the resort.
Don't "upgrade". We think the Jacuzzi rooms are better than the tower rooms. Only advantage to the tower is not having pay to go up to the sky bar. Sky bar is awesome for lunch food but that's about it. Tower rooms are completely over rated!
Completely agree with what knowwhatimean said. The other advantage is not having the $5 room service fee but even if you went up to the skybar plus got room service every day you'd still be $ ahead staulying in the jacuzzi rooms. We've done both multiple times. We're booked again for August and we'll be in the jacuzzi rooms again. Just like their location better.
Not disagreeing with anything said so far but to answer your question: it depends on what you paid so far and how full they are that week. Best thing we found was to email or call and ask before you get there. Be ready to negotiate, don’t take first price. If that price is ok then book the upgrade then. Can be anywhere from 25.00 per night to a lot more (75-100). If you want to gamble a bit, wait till you get there and ask. At least you have a baseline to start from. The views from the tower rooms (at the ends especially) are worth it to us but, as said, a lot of the jacuzzi rooms are very nice as well. We got spoiled with a Lush Tower room upgrade once and then a Master so we link the balcony space.
There is no set price. Depends on what you paid, what is available, your skills at negotiating...time of year...desk clerk... Tower rooms are nice, much larger space, larger bathrooms with double sinks, sky bar/pool, free (expanded) room service, sun deck by the sexy pool (we set this as home base), free expanded adult channels (if so inclined), breakfast at the sea flirt... (They claim VIP check-in and check-out, but I don't think this actually exists) If booked early enough the price between a jacuzzi room and a Bash room are about the same. Prices have definitely been shooting up and availability has been decreasing as COVID begins to clear up. I'd be surprised if you can get into a Bash/Lush room with a reasonably priced upgrade for the next several months.
Never tried to upgrade while there. We have been 3 times to Jacuzzi rooms, and twice to Tower, and prefer Tower.
In jacuzzi room now and would only stay in it since resort is booked solid. For us we prefer tower. More space in room and bathroom as well which we prefer.
