I planned my first TTR trip for last March and rescheduled to this March. Last year I was hyped and ready to go. I’d planned theme outfits, bought some swimsuits, and even hit the gym hard for the months preceding. I was ready to party. Fast forward a year, and I’m afraid I’m not as “fun” as I used to be. I’ve become a total introvert. I’m going to try to pump myself up since I already paid for my room, and it was nonrefundable. But in the event that I’m a complete bore, is the beach or quiet pool (is that what it’s called?) at least relaxing enough for one to enjoy a beach vacation? I know TTR isn’t exactly known for being a chill with a book on the beach destination...
The quite pool is quite relaxing and a nice break from time to time. The beach area near the quiet pool is also a quiet area with lounge chairs. What are your dtes?
The quiet pool or beach is quiet and restful but once you experience the sexy pool we are sure you will get into the vibe.
I'm in the minority for sure, but I actually booked with the intent of finding a book, chair and setting to relax. My weekly work travel feels like ancient history nowadays, the last year has been a cruel version of home office Groundhog Day. I'm excited for the backdrop of people partying and the vibe of cities I miss visiting. Might be the most normal thing I've done in a year, even if I never leave my chair. I'm betting the, "old you," shows up and has a blast - it's been a crazy year.
TTR is a magical place; once immersed in the environment, you must have thought you were booking a room at a Marriot and didn't know what TTR was about or be really really unhappy not to have a good time. Even if you just people watch it's fun. Here is my suggestion to beak the ice 1. Arrive get to know the lay of the land, 2. Avoid the timeshare people 3. Get a drink 4. Get over the shock of the departure from your normal reality, watch and realize everyone is there from the same things and just wants to have fun. Most people don’t have perfect bodies and don’t care. 5. Get in the sex pool and do strep 4 again 6. Scope out someone who looks friendly and outgoing. Best to approach them on the way to the bar or standing around, not when they are on the way back to their group. 7. Take a deep breath, start a conversation with an opener. I suggest something that indicates this is your first time a TTR. Just like on this site, people at the resort love to help people out and often take them under their wing. Sometimes it can be cliquy, but overall everyone wants to help out new people. Here are some suggestions. · The standard opening seems to be how many times have you been here? · I have never seen anything like this is it always like this? · This is my first time here. This is a little shocking and out of my comfort zone. · What are those shots that everyone keeps drinking · Or anything else that indicates this is your first time here. 8. After some conversation, repeat step 6. 9. When comfortable think when Rome might as well do as the Romans do 10. Realize you really can't tell people at home about this vacation. 11. Push your boundaries and the time of your life 12. Let lose have fun be shocked at the things you have done 13. Plan your trip back As long as you go for fun, you will have it. The fun is there; you just have to embrace it.
