    Didn't mean to imply it was a prison, however our communications with them implied we would be obligated to stay if we tested positive. Especially when it is implied with the wording in their own letter.

    Agreed. I specifically asked if it is an option or a requirement.. if they had said “....can spend....” versus “...will spend....” it would be less scary!

    The use of "will" does sound like an obligation, but I think it's just a case of poor English.

    No way can they force you to stay somewhere against your will - this isn't Canada :)

    You mean to say with all those years in country Steve you have never had a “run in” with the local police that resulted in an exchange of cash or a potential stay in a nice Mexican cell? Maybe it was just me but those hidden Stop signs seem to always get me....somehow!

    But that's when a law has been broken. Everything we have encountered that we may have been guilty of, we have been able to get out of.

    There's no such law regarding mandatory confinement to your hotel room in the event of a positive test though.

    I've asked Marco the Premier Members Manager for clarification and will post his reply once received

    If you happen to talk to them again, could you ask if they are being required to “report” any positive tests to any airlines or authorities?
    As has been demonstrated, you can receive both a positive and negative test in the same day here in the states.......asking for a friend ;)
