Covid Testing

My wife and I both had Covid several weeks back. According to the CDC, people can still show positive when tested up to 3 months from their initial positive test.

Do airlines (United), customs, or TTR require a negative test result in hand to fly and or enter?

Just got back yesterday. Flew from California to Cancun. No testing of any kind was needed.

In the same boat had this crap Virus 3.5 weeks ago and they won't re-test because I was told same thing could take months to et negative test back! I had to get letter form my doctor and health department just to be able to go back to work this crap is getting old QUICK

 

Mexico Tourist Card check this out. We fill out our information online and print it out so we don't have to worry with it on the plane. TTR nor United require covid testing.

 

For this trip, Southwest. However, I fly nearly every week for business. I have not needed a Covid test once to fly. In the US, the only place I know of that is requiring it is Hawaii.

 

You dont need a test to fly. Only European flights i believe..

 

Funny. I tested negative 11 days after I got symptoms and 8 days after I tested positive. Have tested negative 3 times since.

I think they are rationing your tests. Go back but don’t tell them you were sick just possibly exposed.

The only issue with this is that in my state if I went back and got a second positive test I’d be out of work again for another two weeks!
To the original poster- be careful what you decide.

 

I’m 47 and I tested Negative two weeks after I had it and I was told that is the 80% of us. Seems as if there is a lot of information out there about the 20% that really doesn’t apply to everyone. Definitely my experience, I was more worried about it than anything else.
