We are planning on booking a week long trip in April. On the travel websites, it's an additional $52/night for an oceanview room. If we wait until we get there, would the upgrade price be the same? The first and only time we were there, we were stuck way back in a far corner with a "garden view" room and don't want the same.
You can always negotiate. I would Probably just say it was 32 online if it’s available at checkin. I’ll often ask about upgrading at the desk at any hotel. 1/3 times you can get it for free if it’s not a holiday or busy week.
Yeah, but April is usually busy, busy, busy. I suspect April 2021 will be hopping since April 2020 was cancelled and many could not rebook before then. Yes, everything is negotiable but if you want to be sure to get the type of room wanted, book it now. $52/night is reasonable and pretty standard.
Yea, I didn’t think, Apri? Probably will only go up in price from here as people start making plans as covid restrictions are lifted.
