So Paul, I will call these rumors since this is second hand and I don’t want to be accused of fake news, there are people on Facebook sites posting that they returned from TTR last week and have been diagnosed with Covid. Multiple separate people. Did you meet these people or are they fugazi?
It’s 100 percent true i tested positive was there 24-28 I never said I got it there or spread it to anyone I was just making it aware I had 102 temp last night and went and got tested this mourning so everyone can use the own judgment if they should go get tested
Kyle, No, I think not rumors as we know at least 1 of the couples and were in close proximity a few times in the pool and Bash. Supposed to see them again at Club Eden event in OKC then July. They are both symptomatic and get tested tomorrow. So, do not yet know if one or both have Covid. Wife got symptoms a day or two after returning on 6/20. Husband a few days later. She is feeling better. He is still under the weather. Rayanne and I feel fine. We may be too stupid to know we have anything or we are just so dang nasty that the virus is scared of us...lol. If we feel bad or end up getting tested I will advise. As you know, and I don’t want to start a shit storm ad I respect others and your own situation and opinion, but Ray and I are herd mentality folks for all viruses. Ray has spent her life in healthcare and on the front lines. She also has her own research and opinions. But you know research and opinions are just like assholes and everybody has one. As you know the secret is not to be one!
It's a bit early to call it yet Kyle, although I know you are desperately hoping to. 300+ people every day, no masks (for guests), no social distancing enforced, plenty of mingling, likely sharing of shots and intimate contact for some. Since 3 weeks ago. If this thing is as rampant as some people make out, we will hear of scores of cases in the next few days. If the fatality rate put around by many is true too, then many deaths too. Shall we not just wait a while?
I never suggested ‘calling anything’. Please don’t put words in my mouth. I don’t know why another post has resulted in a defensive response. I was very careful in my wording. I am offended that you would imply I am ‘desperately hoping’ for people to get sick and for a shutdown Of the resort. This is furthest from the truth. I will tell you what I do believe instead. I believe the resort should stay open now that it is open. I believe people should continue to have the RIGHT to take on the risk if they so choose and go to TTR. I believe people should be able to get honest opinions from people who have gone and honest reports of the virus being contracted while there. And I believe ‘some’ shouldn’t be defensive when the posts are made and let people decide whether the trip is right for them as a result. I think this is fair. But just my opinion.
We are worried about going in September.. they just put mask order in place for our county until end of August.. They are reporting hundreds of new cases a day in Harris County, Texas (Houston area). It’s a definitely a scary new world we are living in.
