    Censorship is never good.

I don’t see what’s interesting about this video. She lost my confidence the second or third time she said ‘In my experience...’. Personal experience really doesn’t make good evidence.

The fact that all her patients between the ages of 30-55 recovered should not be a surprise, nor should it be considered evidence of treatment working. Statistically speaking 99%+ of this group recover.

I assume the video is older given the number of deaths stated. Hydroxychlorquine has unfortunately not been shown to be effective.

I agree with that, totally. For me, it's the censorship that is the real issue in that. It's not whether or not the person is, or isn't, a crackpot. We let crackpots talk all the time. *insert comment here and use your anti-favorite candidate*

Censorship removes the ability to hear the other, different and sometimes contradicting viewpoint and consider it and have the opportunity to reject it. History is replete with societies that regularly practiced censorship... and it generally works out poorly.

    EDITED TO ADD:

I'd love to plan a trip, and I guarantee it Would make Stacia & i feel "better." We dndon't feel "bad," now... but better is better. Considering another 2-week trip to St. Martin next October... stay at www.grandcasebeachclub.com Hang out at Orient Beach a bit, getting drinks from the bar while nekkid... talking to people from Europe about the Premier League... go over to Pinel Island for a day hanging out at the tiki bars after the little water taxi ride... lots of sun, great beach, booze, sex on the balcony and waving at the security guards... the whole thing...

At this point, you're not really going to change how someone thinks in regard to this whole situation/mess/nightmare/travesty. But I feel the below video is worth sharing.

Also, based on the topic being discussed on a different thread today, the 16:20 mark on this video may be particularly enlightening to some.

I know talking about Covid and educating ourselves is a great way to help deal mentally with uncertainty but....

When we hit the pool in Sept, I hope to hell that we dont hear a single word about any of this and we all settle into our Temptation bubble. Locked away from the rest of the world is the reason we vacation in the first place. If the bartenders are still wearing masks, I'm going to pretend its part of the theme :)

What I don't get is here in Alberta we are only in stage 1 of reopening yet as of today with a population of 4.08 million we have
    A total of 6735 confirmed case(over 1000 alone from 2 meat plants)
    19 new today
970 active (still have symptoms) cases
    5637 recovered
ONLY 58 in hospital and of that only 7 IN ICU
and a total of only 128 deaths attributed to COVID19

But like I said we are still locked down.

I assume you didn't watch the video, cause you did exactly what he said: attack the person, and not listen to the message. And that link is from like 2 weeks in response to things he said outside at that gathering, this interview has moved past that on 5/18. I think it's important to be able to think more than once, and not just dig-in/double-double on your original thoughts and opinion. Being able to listen, re-think, and adjust your thought process is import in trying to move as successfully forward as possible. We didn't get anywhere with the majority of society still holding on to the "fact" the Sun revolved around the Earth for another 100 years.

Thanks for posting the video. Food for thought, as you surmise. Appreciate and agreed with some of the opinion (venting) the Doctor shared in that video... particularly the tragic impact of delayed elective serious surgeries like cardiac, cancer and orthopaedic surgeries (not to mention the commensurate, undue patient stress). Can we agree that while he is entitled to HIS opinion, few people respond positively to a tone of condescending certainty... i.e. those who purport to know 'the facts'. He is a family medicine specialist (GP) who is clearly not staying in his lane of expertise. Our younger daughter (who also has a family medical practice and coincidentally, is equally opinionated, lol, like her father as well) is also frustrated by the number of patients at potentially-heightened risk as their cancers and cardiac prognoses, for example, potentially worsen due to delayed surgeries. Relatively few, most urgent, acute life-saving surgeries are still being done here, but there's a backlog of approx 200,000 elective surgeries already in Ontario, not to mention 100's of 000's backlog of postponed diagnostics (MRIs, CTs, PETs, xRay's, Ultrasounds, etc) ... all thanks to The Beast that is COVID-19. And who knows, what 'one-size-fits-most', measures are yet to be taken in preparation for the anticipated 'second wave' of COVID-19 later in 2020, along with seasonal influenza. Who's got a reliable crystal ball? It is increasingly difficult to think about, prioritize or plan vacations in the face of all these life-altering health, economic, political, employment, marketplace, commodity and financial circumstances and instabilities. It's like a bad, unbelievable movie.
