I think flights are being shuffled around and will be for the next week or 10 days. But just because they automatically offered you shitty flights doesn't mean you have to take them. You can see what else American has. Or get your money back from them and go on another airline. Don't give up! Someone has to give me b'day spankings!
I just checked my outbound flights on Southwest and they're fine. If you can get to Houston by 11 am on June 10 (or I'm assuming whatever day works for you) you'll arrive in Cancun at 1:10 pm. Free onboard entertainment, free snacks, and 2 free pieces of checked luggage in addition to a free personal item and carry on. I booked this on frequent flyer miles on May 1 with less than $40 taxes (including my first outbound flight that morning out Orlando). Seems like the cash price was cheap, like $175.

After seeing the MX Govt announcement yesterday we are torn with respect to cancelling. They basically said the same old crap about the new normal for social distancing, sanitizing, temperature checks, health screening, etc. at various points along the way...airport, luggage, transportation...but nothing about hotels. What will TTR do and be like??? Who really knows? Don’t don’t want to waste a trip with very low occupancy, and having to stay away from others everywhere while masked and wrapped up in Saran wrap. In the recent past Patric, the GM, has been real coy as he did not know what the Govt restrictions would be. We will ask him again. I suggest others do too and advise if he supplies any real info. @Steve , any info from you or your sources ?
