Spent 3 hours on the phone today to cancel and rebook the same flight and save $550! Apparently they don’t stop you from using your cancellation credit for the same flights again! Fingers crossed that the end of June is going to be ok.
Now Frontier airlines OW tix from EWR to Cancun on 10/28/2020, went from $79, to the crazy price of $183.
Yes. We noticed a huge jump for that time also. It's not just Frontier. Maybe the airlines are trying to be optimistic that travel will be back to normal by then. I can only think of one resort that we can count on being full at that time, and that's only if travel restrictions are lifted.
They're artificially inflating the prices themselves by cutting 90% or so of their normal flights, supply and demand.
Agreed. We are looking to travel to LAX over the summer and I noticed a 50% increase of Southwest flight prices this morning. Then I looked at the flight schedule and they had cut the number of flights in half, cancelling both the outbound and inbound flights I was looking at...
