Less than 1% get in the ocean at TTR. So it wouldn’t mean much to most people who would go there.

Good point. However, for me, I am glad TTR is close enough to some good snorkeling options. I paid one time to go down the shore by boat in Punta Cana to snorkel. It was the worst snorkeling I have ever experienced.

If it had a great beach then a lot more would use it and go into the ocean. The Desires beach is well maintained and well used.

The ocean water at the TTR beach is kind of green/cloudy when compared to the rest of the hotel zone and all the way south to Tulum, Lack of current is the culprit I think.
The sand is meh except for where they are pumping and the sand isn't sugar fine. smooth.

Image if TTR had beach like Maroma, super fine sand, ...crystal clear water,...super wide beach area...it would attract lots of attention. Topless fun and shenanigans in the ocean for sure!

We'll wade in the ocean at TTR but that's about it. At Breathless, Excellence, Maroma, it was fun to take a break and swim/snorkel for a bit, explore for reef fish, and then dry off on the beach while falling asleep in the shade.

The beach might not be the best we've seen, but it is one of the spots where we go take a break, where you can actually sit on a sand dune in water up to half torso, and have a nice drink quietly whithout waves running over your head or making you flip head over heals.
So imagine this, water ranging from a foot deep and down, so boobs are always in the good zone. If shenanigans is what you're looking for, just step a few feet over to where you're on a perfect slope to get into position and have some watersport without being too obvious.
Just hope this reply won't kill our special spot and get us invaded on our next trip. Then again, this could turn into the new mid afternoon "after sexy pool hot tub party time"!!
Ooohh, can't wait to get back!!

@Steve , here's one for you. Any thoughts on getting a new Boobs Cruise outings business at the new DR resort?
Hope you do....just won't be the same without it!

re: Shenanigans on the beach or in the water at the present TTR.

Anyone who thinks it doesn't happen regularly/hourly is simply not observant, just sayin'.

I know Albatross will take boats there and are keen to work with us on a Boobs Cruise, at least last time we spoke about it 18 months ago.

Not sure about the practicalities of operating from two places, but have already had a dozen or so people offering to move there to manage it :)

It's just too far away (time wise) to think about seriously at this point.

Got a couple questions for next week, Are masks currently required when in public? Specifically running on a public sidewalk? ( I know but I hate dreadmills) I can't imagine wearing a mask while running it the heat.
Do you expect most of the rest of the hotel zone will be a ghost town?
