Sam here. To put the Corona Virus (Which is not a new virus) in perspective, during the time that 362 people have died from it, over 5,000 have died from regular old influenza.
Doesn't it make more sense to stick to the facts and not the hype, media spin, celebrities, Forum thought leaders or Dr.Google? Maybe this CDC link can help (there, you'll also see in the left hand column, links to add'l info, situation status, etc): Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
I read an interview with one of the cdc coronavirus researchers who said she just booked a trip to Mexico and still plans to go at this point.
As of right now, I am more concerned with potential border closings and travel restrictions than the virus. The 12th can't get here fast enough
Right now that’s our main concern as well, especially with the recent mention of potentially closing the southern border. We just want our spring break
Absolutely NOT. That is no fun at allllll Let’s all panic...we are all going to die Quick, get to TTR for one more trip
Wasn't it a few years ago we were all go die from Ebola. I also remember the panic over swine flu, anthrax, SARS, Y2K, the hole in the ozone, Three mile island, over population, killer bees and hell I'm old enough to remember global cooling was kill us. Not that any of these things weren't a problem but they weren't worth the hype. Fear sells and the news is all generating revenue for their parent company. They do that by getting you to watch their advertisements. Not that taking precautions and staying informed isn't advisable but it hard to take the news at face value.
