Hey guys how's the weather in December ? We are planning our trip for the first part of the December and we usually go in April but life has changed for us so we are going later in the year and are hoping for decent weather?? and insight?
We just went Dec 27-Jan 7 and it was fantastic! They just started heating the pool just enough to get the chill out. We had gone first week of April 2019 and thought the pool temp was too cold. But overall Dec was warm, we had 2 real rain days with chilly temps needed towels by pool to stay warm and dry but at night perfect weather for dancing!!
Let me start by saying you need to go when you can get away. We went in mid-Dec a couple of years ago and it was miserable! Of course all of the people with us said it has NEVER been like this. We typically went in July when you can be assured it's hot. It was cloudy and cool (chilly). Since we only get one shot a year, we vowed to never go back to Cancun in Dec and have gone back to balmy July!! Jim & Kristy
We go every June and December. We definitely prefer the June weather...but we have a blast in December too! The pool water felt great in December, so no worries there. We did have a cold front move in for a couple days this last December, so that meant a full day of rain and then a couple cooler days. It didn’t stop us from partying at Bash each night in our regular next to nothing theme costumes...it was still warm enough for that. Go whenever you can and you’ll have a great trip.
Is it true they are really heating the pool in the winter months. Haven’t really had many trip reports in it.
Yes we were there in Dec and the pool was heated. Even confirmed with Patric, it’s a great addition imo
Just this past year we did a late trip too for the first time. We were at Desire November 23 to Dec 3. We were shocked at how nice the weather was! Not one rain day and it was 80s every day, high 70s at night. Compared to our at home temps that time of year we still found that to be quite comfortable. We enjoyed that there wasn't as much humidity. It was still warm enough to be in the pool or at the beach and warm enough at night to still wear sexy outfits. We would definitely go in December again.
that is great to hear we are probably going to DRM for most of the trip but will be doing a few days at TTR also !! woohoo
