Ask your butler if they have WhatsApp. We used that and even when he was off work he would give us his partners WhatsApp info and we were still able to get in touch with one of them.
He stored his and his assistant’s cell phone number in my phone the first day, and I’d just text him.
It’s all in what you are looking for. I personally prefer the lower levels. If you want privacy, get a higher room, if you like to put on a show, get a lower one.
Second floor has a slightly smaller balcony and of course worse view. Third and forth floors the balcony wraps around more and the jacuzzi is hidden a little more on the side. Fifth and sixth floors are the penthouse rooms. so lower if you want less privacy. Higher if you want more privacy and a better view.
Bumping this thread and reporting back. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at TTR. Master suite on 4th floor. Awesome wrap around balcony, perfect for outdoor sex and putting on a show when we felt like it. I would not want a master suite on 2nd floor. We were given red wrist bands. Not sure where this ranks, maybe right below black? Ivan was our butler and he was awesome for the few things we asked for - pool chairs reserved each day, liquor and mixer selections for the suite, arranging 1pm checkout and that was about all we needed. We kept in touch via text. Tip totaled about $50 and would have been more if we had more requests but we are pretty low maintenance. I am not sure what the pecking order is for sexy pool chairs in the premiere area. Do all tower rooms have a butler and access to this seating area? Only the suites? We used room service for breakfast twice and one dinner. We also ate one breakfast and one dinner at rain buffet, and one dinner at Amore (mexican place). We didn't come to TTR for the food and weren't interested in trying the other restaurants. We didn't have a problem finding food we enjoyed. I've tried the specialty restaurants at Desire and found them underwhelming. Plus we weren't interested in putting many clothes on We checked out the rooftop but didn't stay. The gym was surprisingly well equipped but we didn't use it. Sexy pool was a blast each day. Security had to deal with a small group of gay guys who were totally hammered by noon (drinking champagne straight from the bottle in the Moet and Chandon pods). A few of them were interfering with the play makers and harassing guests participating in the games. Security handled it well by escorting them out of the sexy pool area, maybe back to their rooms? The timeshare people were extremely aggressive and annoying, really over the top. I/we said no to the tour about 15 times during our short stay. At least 4 times during checkin, Another 6 times with the 2-3x morning phone calls that started at 9am, most unwelcome after a 3am bedtime. Next time I will unplug the phone if its possible. The purple clad staff even stopped us in the lobby numerous times, called me by name, and asked when we were coming for the 'tour'. A few even acted like we missed our imaginary appointment. I complained on our survey and on an online review site. We will return at some point, stay longer, and do the Boobs Cruise. This was more of a trial run to see if we like the resort.
I know I've said it before, but nothing like this has ever come close to happening to me. Never called, never even asked more than once, where a simple no, and walkaway was all it took. Did you do something to give you the impression that you might be interested? Maybe you need to work on your resting bitch face?
We also didn’t get timeshare hassled in November. They put a note on our door but after I threw it in the trash we weren’t bothered again.
Haha. I have no idea why I was such a target. I made it clear at check in that we had zero interest and it would be a waste of time for us and the rep. Maybe it was because I mentioned I had done the tours at Desire and in Cabo and would not do their tour? Maybe it’s because we booked a master suite on our first visit? The people who stopped us in the lobby knew my name even though I had never met them. Maybe the boss offered a bonus for whoever got Mr. Xyz to do the tour lol. Who knows.
@CorpusDuo Thank you very much for letting us know about your Master Suite experience. Can you tell me why you say you would not want a 2nd floor Master Suite? Because it basically sits on the roof? I had already decide to ask for a higher floor, but I'm getting neurotic about being assigned the 2nd floor.
