We are planning our honeymoon and are thinking about going to TTR from oct 4-8 and then going to Desire 8-11? We’ve never been to either resort. Give us your tell all! we want to have fun, meet new people, Boob cruise (oct 6?) and do all the fun! Tell us about your experiences- the good, the bad, the ugly and the naughhhhttttyy.

Well first off there are two Desire Resorts. Riviera Maya and Pearl. upload_2020-1-28_21-0-43.jpeg

We often split our trips and recommend to end at Desire is splitting.

You may be bummed leaving TTR after 3 nights when you are just settled in and making friends but it is great to try two resorts.

Foam party at TTR is Saturday and it’s Friday at RM & Saturday at Pearl. Great fun. Glow night is also Saturday at TTR.

Others can provide great info and we would recommend to try Desire RM over Pearl for your first visit. 114 rooms vs 88 at Pearl so more people and more fun. Roof top hot tub at both TTR and RM but worlds apart in experiences.

    Happy trip planning !

Good advice there from BnK. We did just that in December and thought it was a perfect mix of party and relaxation. We did three nights at TTR and then took the USA Transfers down to Desire RM for three more nights. It made the trip seem longer and we never got bored. You'll find that there are many things about TTR that are newer and nicer than Desire, and many things about Desire that make it worth the higher price tag. It should be noted that this was not our first trip to TTR and we're headed back there next month, so we didn't feel like we were getting cut short. If I were you, I'd do at least four nights at TTR before heading south to Desire. You may very well meet several couples doing the exact same thing, and you'll immediately know someone when you reach Desire. Best of luck to you.

We've been to TTR many times, Desire RM 3 times and our next trip March 29-April 6 we are going to split our trip between Desire RM for 4 nights and try Desire Pearl for 4 nights. I really don't think you can go wrong at any of them, I mean what could you possibly complain about besides the trip is too short!?

Hi everyone! We have been to TTR twice and I want to plan a split trip this year. Would you recommend TTR first or Desire?
    Can you go wrong???

We think it's clearly TTR first and then Desire. BnK recommended we do it that way last month and they were spot-on. We arrived on Sunday, hit the Boobs Cruise on Monday, had one more day to really whoop it up at TTR on Tuesday, and then headed off to Desire RM around noon on Wednesday. Desire is a fantastic change of pace from TTR and has a nice progression to it at night and we really liked. Pool, then up to the Jacuzzi, then back to room for nap, then dinner, show, disco, and back to Jacuzzi again. Love the afternoons at the TTR Sexy Pool; love the late nights at the Desire Jacuzzi. Party and theme nights are better at TTR; conversation opportunities better at Desire RM. Rooms are better at TTR; beach is better at Desire RM. They compliment each other well.

I think you are going to have an absolutely killer honeymoon... show up to party at TTR then continue the party as you relax just a bit and slip into the warm, moist smoothness of....

Wait. Too many double entendres showing up in one post. Sorry.

    It'll be great!

We’ve come back to TTR from Desire on a trip and wouldn’t recommend it, but some do suggest that option.

For us there is a vibe at Desire different than TTR and the way we holiday it’s easier to travel and show up at TTR for the party first and then head over to Desire.

Either way, TTR first, or TTR last, it's still better than staying at home!
