The last couple of times we’ve been it seems the humidity in the rooms is starting to get worse. Even after partying at bash it is hard sometimes to sleep. I saw someone posted about taping streamers to the vent to keep the air conditioner running. Just asking if this helps people deal with humidity in the rooms and wet clothes etc...
At home we keep the house very cool, even in the summer, and we didn't find it too hot to sleep while there. The biggest issue is the humidity on the floor. When the sliding door to the balcony is open, the air won't stay on. I guess you can use a small magnet to keep the sensor working on the sliding door when it's open. We are definitely going to do that next trip.
To control humidity and condensation keep the balcony and front doors closed all the time. Trendy rooms are older and the insulation is not good, humidity is a big problem on them. You can also tape the doors
Does this mean you guys are looking to book again?? Labor day maybe? And yeah... Tape a streamer or piece of plastic to the ceiling near the vent, and it keeps the motion sensor thinking somebody is in the room and will keep the AC on...
We do that all the time magnets are standard on our packing list whoever we go. In fact they just stay in the suitcase. We also bring a small diffuser for that musty smell hotels in humid claimants always seem to have
Well let me walk over to the luggage that is waiting to be packed for the next trip.It seems it never really gets put away. It just sits in the corner taunting us. I just get them at Home Depot or Lowes. There nothing special just about .5 inch disks. To get them to work is simple. On the door frame somewhere you will see a flat plastic disk. Ususal 3/8 - 3/4 inch and one on the door itself. The door side is a magnet and the frame side is a magnetic switch. Just place your magnet on the frame side it and it will activate the a/c. Leave the door open and enjoy the sounds that TTR has to offer while being cooled by the A/C. Natrally the room wont be cool as when the door is closed but we like the ambient sound of the resort while we putter about in the room. Just take it off when you close the door or it may interfere with the lock. Here's a picture of the magnet. I don't have any pictures of the door frame but Im am going to suffer threw a Disney trip in 2 weeks. I will take some pictures then as Im sure they have the same set up
