Yes we will go for sure but not sure what tour company we will use. If we can find 4 other people for sure we will go with Steve's suggestion. We will be at Temptation between 13/4-18/4. I know it is 3 months but we like to plan things well in advance!
Definitely worth taking a day during your stay and doing something like this. Seven straight days or more around the pool is okay, but it's a nice idea to throw in some sightseeing. I will tell you this ... it's s serious haul from Cancun to Chichen Itza so be prepared for a long day on the bus. It's a solid 2-1/2 hour drive each way, and close to 125 miles apart. Chechen Itza is actually closer to the City of Merida than it is Cancun. But, it's worth seeing (once). The El Castillo temple is impressive, but visitors are prohibited from climbing the steps to the top for safety reasons. Before you book, try to verify that your tour will include a knowledgeable tour guide because that really adds to the experience.
We did on our first stay in Jan 2018. Booked through hotel with a little rebate for attending Premier presentation. It was with Amigo Tours and tour guide was Marco (Most knowledgeable guide I've seen in guided tours! If you want to learn stuff...). Went to Cenote for swim and a nice lunch. Very long day...over 12 hrs, but well worth it. Have to do this at least once. It was a coach ride, and the guide told us to relax and sleep while we rode, so we were able to catch up on the sleep we missed at the resort. We did Boobs Cruise also (3 times now!) and also well worth it. Steve's private tours list really look interesting and if the guides he uses are as good as the entertainers on the Boobs Cruise, it will be awesome. If you want details, just ask
Thanks a lot for the info. We will definitely do the tour as it will be our very first time there! Will contact you for further details!
