Not sure if any of you are on FB, but there’s a ton of activity on there today about a IG Influencer who was taking pics and videos of people (some topless) and posting it. The dude got called out, and supposedly kicked out, but Temptations posted a pic staging him being thrown out and everyone is laughing. First real negative thing I’ve seen about the resort since booking. Curious to hear the management side of things since they don’t seem to care based on their posts
Patric (GM) is on the site saying that it was taken seriously, and that he has been thrown out. Maybe it wasn't the best move to put up the staged picture, but he is stating it did happen, and the dude is 100% in a van driving away from TTR in a video he put up. I feel like Patric probably wouldn't lie about it. I mean what would be the point. The easier lie (or way to handle it on social media) would have been to just say they gave him a warning and made him take down the pictures. It will be interesting to hear that if in the future this incident has given the phone/picture problem more exposure, and thus made them more on top of the photo and camera policy at the sexy pool. I'm optimistic that is the case.
Thanks Steve. Trying to stay optimistic and I’ll take your word on Patric as I have no experience with him. Just think the picture posted by the resort was in very very bad taste if they’re taking things serious like they said
And just wanted to also mention that Patric also stated that they ordered new signs for the photo policy, and that they are getting stickers to put over the lens of your phone, just like they have at Desire. I really think that's going to be a huge help with this, and never really understood why it didn't happen sooner.
I guess I don’t get the stickers for the phones? I mean at TTR, pictures by the pool are allowed as long as they are done in a way that they are taken of you and not out toward the pool area. Desire is different in that it’s absolutely no photos so it makes sense there.
Yeah I don't know how they work exactly, as I haven't been to Desire. I would assume they won't be mandatory at Temptation. They would at least help security have something to look, or not look for, when people have their phones out poolside. I think just them existing in general brings exposure to the problem, and people can't be like "I didn't know" or "oops" cards.
100% Agree. My disappointment though is more about how things were handled by the resort. They give this guy a trip. He breaks rule number one, and they choose to make a mockery of it on social media. The dude has a video with the staff (including Patric I believe) laughing as they throw him out.
