Was not going to write a report cause not much changed since our last trips. We first went to TTR Jan 2018 so never seen the before reno. This is our 4th trip since and every time brings something to blow our minds. We bought in Premier on the first trip and been to meetings 3 more times but haven't upgraded...yet. The new resorts make it interesting though. This report might give a bit more info on the member side of things. Food: some things change every time we go but it comes to mostly the same things. They changed Seaflirt for breakfast to be members only...doesn't seem to work cause mostly empty. We are not into buffets so the later is our place for breakfast. We love it. Flame: steaks there don't cut it for us. The new churrascaria is a great add on. Very tasty and good variety. Sky Rooftop: still our fav for lunch and afternoon bites. Drinks and shots are the best. Some might complain about having to wait a while to get food but we go there to relax and enjoy the pool and hot tubs. Water is so hot compared to downstairs. We seem to always find a great party in those tubs on every visit. So for those who think it's boring up there...you haven't tried enough! Hibashi: great show from Ricardo, really enjoyed We also did Seaflirt, Sutra and Romanza for dinner...all good! Wife wanted to go out snorkling so she booked a Jungle tour. She loved it. So did I even if I found it a bit pricey for a 2 hour trip. We did have a good time. New friends: WOW! They say the people you meet at TTR are the best...well it's so true! Every trip brings a few new friends that make you feel so lucky. Some are far, some are closer, but they are so dear to us. Wish we could have them over every other weekend. For the first time, we took the yacht out one afternoon. We took 3 other couples with us for the ride. What-a-great-trip! Great boat, great crew, great food and boose, and the best company! Wish we can bring these good folks out again on another trip! Loved every second of it. This is about what stood out from the normal good times we get at TTR. Like every other trip, there was sexy, there was toplessness(90%+), there was party (hard) and room parties, minor asshole problems from singles (3)at Bash invading the ladies' space(but nothing out of control), and there was great weather. Single guys: we encountered 3 groups (rather large, like 10-15) of bachelors. No problem at all with these fine gentlemen. All super friendly and super respectful. They kept to themselves until asked to join, and even then, they were the best of souls. Great guys! Beach: water was foggy cause they were pumping the sand back to shore to rebuild the beach. Didn't bother us much as we did go sit out on sand bar for breaks and drinks in the afternoon. We need our salt water therapy every day. Massage: went down the beach to next door resort (maybe 2 blocks) for side by side massage. $40/hr +tip each and excellent deep tissue massage. This is one thing we find that TTR should look into. Gouge $300 out of me for a massage is rediculous and they'll never get it out of me no matter how good they are, cause they are very good at $40 down the beach. Sorry. This is about all the news we have. If you have questions, feel free to ask(here or private). Wish you all a great trip also!
Great mid trip report. Sad to hear about the change with SeaFlirt. Been hearing amazing things about the French toast! Guess it will be breakfast in bed instead. What is the yacht? I’ve heard a couple people mention this, so I assume it’s a perk only available to members. Enjoy the rest of your trip!!!!
Isn’t Sear Flirt members AND tower guests anymore??? It already was empty a month ago, if they changed it to members only...Well yeah it will be empty
I'm sure you'll be able to tag along with some member friends. We'd be glad to share breakfast (or a table )with you guys if we cross paths!
According to AccuWeather it was on the cool side in Cancun the first week of Dec. Barely making it into the 80's for highs, and lower 60's for lows. How did the pool and hot tub water feel to you at those temps? There are reports that the water is heated now, and at those temps, I would think it would be needed.
We were there from 5th to 13th and to me the pool temp was perfect. My lady says that it was also fine until the sun went down behind the tower at which point, around 4:30-5:00 pm, we moved to hot tubs (Bash or roof). Don't know if we're good reference for water temp cause we're from Canada where we swim in ice cold spring water! Weather was clear, low to mid 80's and high humidity. If pool is heated, we didn't notice it more on this trip than any of the 3 others at the exception of April where we found every thing to be very hot! (weather, all pool temps including quiet pool, and the crowd especialy the ladies!) We don't even notice a big difference in the ocean's temp and we go spend about an hour in there every day we're at TTR. I guess that if you get really cloudy days the pool temp will seem to be a lot colder, but we were lucky enough to get the sun thoughout.
