Steve, I know you shut down the other Forum on this but I just found out the Sens will re-open Dec 10th "ish" where the current Grand Oasis Palm is across the bridge from TTR. We were looking at their new website last night.
Does anyone know anything about the Grand Oasis Sens opening Dec 2019 ? Apparently it's back to an adults only resort. Not sure what to expect. I booked the Sian Kaan @ GOSens for Jan 16-21, then bouncing over to TTR tower Jan 21-25. No one seems to know anything about the new Sens.
We found sens to be one of our best trips out of over 30 to Cancun. Of course that was when TTR was closed. Never understood all the complaints. Had a great time and the beAch was amazing!!
Been the sens. A year prior to them closing down. The place was really run down. 95% of the time only 1 elevator worked to get up to our room. They where always in Hallways on ladders fixing leaks or wires in the ceilings. But can't wait to see more info on the new one. Hope it's better then the old building.
Just got back from the new Grand Sens. Except for the poor weather last week our stay was good . Booked the junior suite, Sian Kaan, but was upgraded to the master suite. Beautiful large room top floor corner facing TTR. Food was good at the regular restaurants. The White box and Benazuza where excellent. The shows were also good. All that being said, the clientele are not like TTR. Guest at TTR much more friendly. The staff where very good, but I think the staff at TTR are excellent. There was no e-team at the Sens. It is not a 24/7 party hotel. I would however recommend it.
Hotel website says topless optional, but I did not see any topless women. To be fair there were only a few topless men, it was quite cool, windy and rainy .
