I’m traveling solo in March... thanks for the insight into the games... was wondering about the details... pretty much answers it... i guess the best way to enjoy and have fun... is to participate... let yourself go a little ... and have fun... you away from home... vacationing in paradise... go big or go home...
One of the best ways to get in the swing of things when you are travelling alone at TTR is to do one of the pool games early on, and be memorable while participating, which usually entails making a fool of yourself. If you do, all of a sudden people will recognize you and talk to you, comment/laugh about your participation in the game.. It's a great way to meet people, as people will know you are a fun person, and are not threatening just because you are a solo dude. I have seen this work for guys on more than one of my trips.
Thanks for the tip. I intend making a huge fool of myself and actually having fun... it’s a trip to remember or not.... iv done copious amounts of reading on TTR and in my opinion it’s the best choice... the intention is to have alot of fun... enjoy adult humor... and actually enjoy everything the resort has to offer. To be a threat is not even on my list of things to do.... No one knows me.... I’m in a foreign land... so why not just forget about sanity, perceptions and opinions and have the best time of my life....
We’re Canadian we can definitely drankkkkkk my mans irish Hes a tank i think he would crush at the drinking aspect of these fun games .
I used to think this way....then I saw some of the female playmakers (and the guys too but the ladies were way smoother) in this contest and “chugging” beer is junior league compared to what they are capable of! They can’t weigh 100 pounds but they just INHALED the beer (or tequila) in this contest....it is absolutely amazing! Though some of the true champs are no longer at the resort so ...... Also, that said, even they lost once in awhile
I participated in the wet t-shirt contest one year early on. And we’ve done the beach and pool volleyball and water aerobics (great for early morning recovery). But like previous posters stated, really no pressure to participate. The playmakers walk around and chat with people looking for participants. But if you indicate that you’re not interested today, they don’t push. Maybe I’m getting too accustomed to the resort, but I don’t think the games are even that extreme. Very sexy and fun, but I wouldn’t call anything extreme.
