A simple no is all it takes. Usually after the first day or two they will stop asking. Of course we be sure to speak to them and get to know them a bit (the Playmakers). We tell them we are not “ that kind of exhibisionists”. Well those who know us may beg to differ...lol. They are great and energetic young people just trying to do their jobs to get and keep the party vibe going each and every day...and night at Bash.
As much as it freaks us out to volunteer, it is much more fun when you do! No one wants to look like a fool, but it is amazing how many nice guys/gals will give you their swimsuit when they see what a predicament you are in. All in all it is usually harmless, though your significant other may give you a slap as a joke afterwards. Gotta say one of my proudest moments was winning one of the drinking competitions vs. the staff. Gotta get folks from the midwest or Canada if you want to stand a chance!
Sigh. At the risk of beating a drum that's been beaten too often, the games are nothing near as "wild" as the old days, where the winners ended up nekkid, and the losers both nekkid AND humiliated AND doused in icewater or rolled in sand. Memories....
