Never really thought about shaving (I think I am just past that age mark where it became fashionable) but do trim where necessary. However, I did note that most (all) of the males in the crew we had formed last trip were more shaved than I was. Don’t think I will change (though I rarely have kept that promise in other things!) but if you are looking for the trend it would be less hair....IMHO. Do what you want to do!
Don't sweat this. It's your own hard-earned expensive vacation. Do what feels comfortable for yourself, while also understandably, taking your partner's preferences into account. You appear to be a great looking couple... and you'll have a blast! All this being said, don't forget to consider the importance of augmenting your Speedo look with subtle fashion accessories !
