Solution: Don't eat, just drink, and no fruit drinks.

Just making a joke, but seriously it's a bummer. And like many have stated it's probably a viral infection being passed from a particular item or person behind the scenes, and not "food poisoning" in that sense you would get from bad muscles, or meat that isn't being stored at the proper temp.

I just wonder how fast they can get it under control. Being that we will be there tomorrow, it makes one kind of nervous.

Good luck! I hope so too and you have no problems. Right now the resort seems to be in full denial mode and is showing 0 concern for anyone. Everyone is getting a copy and paste response, sometimes even forgetting to change the first name on it.

This happens once or twice a year. When you have people “cuming“ and going all the time it is difficult to pinpoint. Look at all the salad borne illness we have in the states during the course of a year. I am sure they have the same problems for time to time.
Luck of the draw. I am sure, despite their denial, they are working hard to correct the problem. Bad publicity is not what they want. Be prepared for anything and hope you don’t need it. Drink on!

    Never heard of that.
Cipro is a sulfa drug and yes needs an Rx in the US.
Of course in MX, and across the street probably not.

We have never had any issues at TTR, been there 4 times. I will say we went to Breathless in Cancun and had something that didn't agree with our stomachs one day we were not feeling good.

So I have a correction....I have been misspelling this as roto virus, but it is actually rota virus (the virus looks like a wheel under the microscope, hence rota).
    So in laymans’ terms...
The incubation period is 48 hours...yes real quick.
And you can spread it before any symptoms begin (when asymptomatic) up until the last symptoms (the purging out both ends stop) which can last 5-8 days!
So for up to 10 days you can spread it.

This is why typically when someone in a household gets it, everybody does!
Same at public places like TTR.

Someone probably brought the virus from up North where it typically starts this time of year, and it spread through the staff and hence all the guests.
The only thing that kills the virus is bleach...that is all ( no do not try to drink it).
Lysol and such has no effect.
You need to wipe down surfaces thoroughly with bleach and wait at least 10 minutes for it to dry before considered safe.
Hence the decontamination and cleaning that TTR was probably performing.

So no touching, nipple sucking, body or luge shots, or swapping spit people!
And keep your fingers and peckers to yourself!
    Yeah right!
If course we all could make some mad choices in the name of fun;)

Best wishes for a healthy stay.
See you’ll Saturday...we will be wearing our signature pink in support of anti rota virus (in place of breast cancer this time)
