We have been to TTR 10 times. About 5 in March and 5 non March. CCC has always been very very unpopular to the March attendees..we just dont know why.. We have NEVER had a bad trip in March, dont get us wrong but there is just not the communication on here for that month. It could be that more couples avoid the "spring break" crowd and go in April. Just wondering... as we are considering March once again..
The April Addicts are a pretty epic group. That reason alone is enough to skip March and go in April.
April is when its warming back up though and getting a little longer day. Rainfall is also at its lowest in April. It’s pretty much the sweet spot in the calendar for Cancun.
I don't believe March is dead to be fair. It does seem a slower month on CCC but maybe that's because there are big groups for both Feb and April here, not so much for March. I keep accurate records of Boobs Cruise numbers, which closely follow hotel occupancy rates. This year March was little different to the 'popular' months of Feb and April. Each month had 9 cruises. Cruise Numbers Feb - 659 March - 619 April - 626 Also, I think the Spring Break thing is somewhat of an urban legend. Not many true Spring Breakers are paying $350 a night for their rooms in Cancun!
my wife and I are visiting here for the first time in march for 2 weeks coming from the uk to celebrate her birthday so we shall be there
Had another thought (second one today, yay me!) We have big groups for Feb and April that have been here on the forum for years. So maybe people new to CCC and TTR looking for the best time to go tend to gravitate one way or another to be a part of those groups? So, people thinking of March might switch their dates a few weeks earlier or later to join those larger groups. But, as I mentioned above, I don't think March is a slower time at the hotel generally. Just slower on CCC. We can all do our part! Invite your friends over to CCC away from those toxic FB and Kik groups, full of creepers, fake accounts, abusive comments and spammers. They divide us into smaller and smaller fragments, which results in no cohesion and loss of a single community. Let's make March great again! (I think that's 3)
Hahahahhaahahhaha I would love to go in March, but similar to what Steve said, I personally don't know any one that does. Maybe Steve and I can start are own new group: "Steve and Steve's March Maniacs"
We have met many fun couples in March, some have moved to April like we did, (Dan and Michelle) prices used to be a lot more in March than April so that was also a big factor.
