Mold all over the wallpaper in the rooms around the Quiet Pool. We had a room there 18 mos. ago and saw nothing like that, but there's quite a thread going on FB right now with lots of stories. We had no problems in the Bash or Lush towers last December, but that's a much newer area. Is management aware of this problem? Not gonna stop us from going but we may be packing Lysol.
In the replies to that post on Facebook a member, Janet Kranz, posted her response from the GM when she emailed him. He sent her multiple pics, which she posted, of the repairs to these rooms that are ongoing. The wallpaper is being removed and walls are being painted instead. The repairs are being done as the rooms become vacant. It looks as though a fair number have been done already.--Chris
We stayed in one of those rooms this past week. We took a couple pictures of the wall the day of check out... the mold spot had nearly doubled. I'll put the pic in my TR. It ain't purty.
Are those older rooms? I’ve not been for 5 years so I’m not sure where the new ends/old begins. Quiet pool still the same? Tyia!
We stayed in the tower on the 4th floor last year, when walking into our room all you could smell was mold. At the end of our 10 day stay had a big 6 foot diameter black spot on the wall. Totally stupid design decision to put wall paper on the walls and expect it to survive in Mexico.
There were renos going on in the ground floor rooms around the quiet pool, but the ones facing the gym and sexy pool, when we were there 3 weeks ago.
