I know there is always talk about alternative themes. I couldn't find what they are for July. Does anyone know what they are, and how many people actually participate in these alternative themes. I also have read somewhere that they are changing the retro 70'80 nights to Sheer. Any truth to this?
Do you mean the resort is changing Boogie Night to Sheer? I hadn't heard that, though it would be a welcome change. The June people have Sundays (except the 30th) as Sheer Night.
I didn't see much talk(on FB or here) at all for your time period of changing the themes, or having CCC spins on existing resort ones. We are there the 22nd-29th, and are just sticking with the norm. I am not part of any kik groups, so if there is talk in one of those, that's not public knowledge. Summerfest starts on the 28th, and there are changes to the themes for that week published on the TTR special events page, but that's after your time period. Our last night is at the start of that, and it's just "tropical" theme, so that's pretty much the easiest and most boring thing anyway. In my experience, people just say random shit on Facebook all the time. Not sure if anyone else feels that way, hahahaa.
Well I stand corrected. I didn't realize there is a calendar. Not sure were it is from though, thank you for posting It's pretty similar, but would example the sheer on boogie night inquiry.
Last trip (April) we had alternate CCC (better) themes every day for both Bash and Sexy Pool. Everyone voted prior to the month. The Bash themes were evident and well represented but not much participation at the Pool except for the pink day for Chino’s cause. There was also a large separate (non CCC) group that had there own themes for Bash, pretty wild too. Did not see anyone look for ideas or votes for July but may have missed it?
We had day themes in April 2018, but you really couldn't tell at the Sexy Pool, even on Pink Day. It seems to be difficult to get the day themes off the ground. I suspect it will be different on July 4th, as a lot of Americans seems to have US-flag themed swimwear. I did not see a thread for July seeking input on themes, but I did not start posting until April, so I may have been too late to see it.
I'm a fan of any plan to replace Boogie Nights with Sheer Night in the Summer months. Whew, it gets hot there at night! Polyester is just … wrong.
