Dirty Vibes Group Event- Impact On Our Trip If We're Not Part Of It?

    We are just now sitting at the airport in Cancun waiting to go home. Here is how we saw the "takeover" from a white band point of view- it didn't effect us at all. Most were still very friendly and we noticed that although they had their private pool up stairs, most seemed to be hanging with is at the sexy pool. However, if they do a complete takeover during the time we are there next year we wont be able to come here. We base our vacation on the kids school schedule not on a takeover schedule. We have no choice but to go elsewhere. Would be a shame considering we have been here every year since 2014. Sorry this was so long

    No complete takeover. Similar event to this year. Dates for next year are April 28-May 3. They started taking deposits today.

    Now those that want to avoid can. Personally we saw a lot of positives and likely will be back.

    Caught up with my contact.

    Seems in the space of 3 weeks the powers that be have done a complete 180.

    From not renewing the contract, to offering up the whole hotel. Yep a complete takeover.

    We are really looking forward to going to the sky bar. Are you telling me after waiting a year for our trip we are denied access to the sky bar because we are not members of the takeover group?

    It's the exact reason we will never buy in. The rules constantly change with this place. They've got no credibility and don't even honor the contracts they've already made.

    Yeah the takeover this year was Tuesday April 2 to Saturday April 6 with most departing Sunday April 7.

    In 2020 it is Tuesday April 28 to Saturday May 2 with most departing Sunday May 3.
