Dirty Vibes Group Event- Impact On Our Trip If We're Not Part Of It?

I dont believe I fell for anything. I know exactly what they are and used the wrong terminology in calling their linked booking site to join their parties a Temptation site. The link is to their website which then takes you to the real booking site for the parties but not a real TTR site so I get your point there but was simply helping someone who was asking about whether they could join the parties, not trying to represent that this was some temptation run thing, 100% know this is the 'group'. Wont post it again as I see you have deleted it.

I don’t get the point about how I am helping them with ‘their game’. I was trying to help someone on ccc who inquired about going to the parties, not help the group. If you read up on the history I posted lots of negatives about the group along with the positives. I am very familiar with them from joining them at Desire and from them being at TTR when we were visiting last year by coincidence. People asked for the link to join the parties and I provided it and also shared when they have the sky bar. I didn’t mention other things intentionally because last thing I would want to do is promote a competing ____. And I promote booking transfers thru you instead of them when I have been asked many times. Why pay $95 thru them when ccc USA Transfers is $55. So believe me I am not trying to help them.

Takeover depends on your definition. I too have shared that it is less than 1/3rd of the resort and 130 rooms and I consider it a takeover by my definition because when I tried to book the tower separately i could not because the group had booked up all the tower rooms and ‘taken them over’. Personally I don’t like that they do this and I have to pay a higher price because they did. I don’t like that they intentionally have different theme nights. And I definitely don’t like that they intentionally have a different cruise.

So please know that I am not falling for any game of there’s. For us it came down to either join them or not go when we wanted to go. Making the best of it and joined the ‘group’.

I know you referenced a ‘history’ with them previously. Would be interested in hearing more on site at TTR over drinks. Thanks

We were under the impression that the takeover wouldn’t impact us. That they were using the sky bar only during times it was typically closed anyway.

We just checked in today and are premier members. At the Premier desk they told us that the sky bar would not be available the entire week due to the takeover.

Does anyone know if this is accurate information?

 

Its a fact, Skybar is not available for the next 6 days and is closed for the only for the private group.
We went up there for lunch today amd were denied even tho it was empty.
We are not very happy about this as we emailed the hotel a few weeks ago and were told it would only be 2 nights that would be private access.
Makes you think twice about membership.

 

So far true. They have security at the entrance day and night (when they have events at night) checking for the group bands. Tonight all are at Bash though

 

I'd be really mad if this happened when I was there. Sean and I go to the rooftop every day for lunch. I don't understand why it can't be open in the daytime, and perhaps close earlier (4 pm instead of 6?) if necessary to prepare for the evening. Are they afraid people will hide in the pools with snorkels so they can crash the Dirty Vibes events later?

 

Apparently they have thier own events during the day. We tried to get up there again today for lunch with no luck.

 

If you have email proof that they gave you false information, I would think you could ask for some type of “compensation”?
