I don't think it's a bad thread. And there is always hope. I don't think it's a problem to have wishful thinking, and want to attempt to make things better. I actually enjoyed your other music post as well with all the song links. Some of them made it on to my list of future downloads for vacation. I think this just went a direction where people were trying to set some realistic exceptions for problems that we all have faced, and have mutual frustrations that not enough improvement has been made. I am telling you, the music will end up less important than you might think
All the cool kids can take my playlist and just know that the dance parties in my room will be way better than Bash. I hear every single one of those songs 5000 times a day at work.
All I'm saying is if the place looks like a rave on a Saturday night and they play country, it's going to be the weirdest musical experience I've ever had.
Not sure if things have changed since the remodel but this will be TTR trip 6 for us. I recall the music being very calm early in the AM then changing to a hip hop style mid day then sometime early after noon it was like hey why is it so quiet ohh that background noise has been shut off... back to my conversation. Honestly it might as well be Amber asking me to do the laundry over and over because with all the new conversation and "things to look at" its just back ground noise that I don't even hear once the party starts. The people are so epic you won't notice what the background noise is either. looking forward to meeting all you early April animals!!
Hahaha they don't really play country. But I am sure some people would like them to. And therein lies the problem. Here's a classic good time song
Yes yes ... we all spend $5K tropical vacation dollars for the “musical experience”. Some folks were trying to be gracious, constructive and gentle with you as first time visitors, by offering suggestions and coaching. Good luck to you and your level of self-awareness. Wow.
Did you check out their last album? I havent heard it yet but I may hijack the audio system at work tonight and play it. Also del the funky homosapien (the guy that raps in this song) is amazing live!
Fairly certain 5k to you is not the same as 5k to me. So... self awareness...? We basically choose a vacation over no longer being a single car household. Yes, I will over think a lot and have high expectations because I dont have 5k to drop on a vacation once a year let alone multiple times a year. Now that everyone knows we are basically house poor and this vacation means a LOT to us, maybe that will offer some perspective. All it would have required is an "not sure if it will work, but sure... here's a few songs I wish they'd play." The more people contribute the more likely people are to listen.
Saw this when they played in Sturgis, SD a few years ago and has become my party anthem ever sense. I'm a rock/country guy so feel free to add about anything Kid Rock to your playlist.
