This was our second trip to Temptation, the first being back in 2015 before the remodel. Overall we think they did a great job with the renovations. Some spaces are brand new and you can't even recognize what used to be there. I liked that they expanded the Sexy Pool and kept lots of high energy activities there, but also preserved the Quiet Pool as a calm getaway area.

We wanted a trip that was adults only, would let me be topless, had a great place to dance at night, and offered relaxation if desired. Temptation delivered 110% on all fronts.

We were originally assigned room 1142 which faces the highway and was quite noisy. We went back to the lobby and politely asked to changed rooms, which was the single best decision we made the entire trip. We were then assigned 1331, which was a badass loft room with windows on two sides and even a teeny tiny view of the ocean. Both of these rooms were Trendy Garden, on the opposite side of the resort from the Quiet pool.

Overall the food was decent. Our meals at Romanza, She and Sutra stand out the most. Breakfast at Sea Flirt was stellar. We did not eat at Flame.

Drinks were fantastic. I like trying a bunch of different drinks, so therefore really appreciated having menus available (though sometimes you have to ask for them).

The night time entertainment was always exciting. The staff dancers all do a great job and are sexy as hell. I appreciated that every act incorporated the theme night into their performance and costumes.

Our fellow guests were friendly and interesting, and many of them were really attractive, too! It was nice to have so much eye candy around and definitely contributed to the fun party atmosphere and overall sexy vibe. :>

    Some highlights:

-- Participation in theme nights was pretty high during our stay, and it was always fun looking at everyone's costumes at Bash.

-- Said it above, but will repeat that breakfast at Sea Flirt was stellar. I thought we'd have to be slightly more dressed up (no bathing suit) to dine here so we didn't go until near the end of our trip, but I was wearing swimsuit bottoms + coverup and they sat us. The french toast was to die for. I wish we'd gone here a lot more often.

-- Explore the whole resort and beach area! There's hammocks off to one side which are nice to relax in.

-- Tequila Jenga by the Sexy Pool bar was a lot of fun. I like that the resort offers activities where you can still make a fool of yourself (like give a stranger a lap dance, show your butt, etc) with a smaller crowd (aka, not the focus of the entire pool area). They did similar stuff with a massage class, beer pong and casino games throughout the week. I also got to play Connect 4 with Papi Chulo (sp?) which was a blast. I think they should offer more games like this to get people involved who are also nervous about the attention of a crowd. Some ideas: Twister, scavenger hunt, adult-themed Pictionary.

-- We did AquaFit with Natasha and another Playmaker one morning which got my heart rate up a bit and was a fun way to wake up. My favorite part was at the end, when we did a cool down game called Fresco Cola. I can't find anything online (in English at least) that describes it, but it was really fun and relaxing.

-- Loved the addition of 'Caffeine' the coffee bar. Note that they also have mini-sandwiches if you want a snack before or after dinner. We'd often grab a few to help sober up after the Sexy Pool.

-- We were invited to go out on the resort yacht which was an amazing experience. They drove us all over the Cancun area and out to Isla Mujeres. If you get a chance to go, say yes!

-- The foam party on Saturday was high energy and everyone had so much fun laughing and dancing in the water.

Some things people might find interesting:

-- Our last day, we met a very nice gentlemen (can't recall his name, he was a manager of some sort) who said they spend hours every day reading reviews on sites such as these. So know that they definitely care about and are listening to all of your feedback. Also, when we thanked staff members for great service, they would sometimes ask us to mention them by name in these reviews. This happened across all areas of the resort (food service, bartenders, playmakers) so if you can take a few minutes to memorize or write down their name, and then mention it here or in your checkout comments, know that it is seen and appreciated.

-- You only need reservations at Sutra for the 2 Hibachi tables. The rest of the restaurant has a different menu and is first come, first served like the other restaurants.

-- For some reason, almost every sushi roll at the resort comes with cream cheese, even the Cali roll. This was the case during our 2015 trip too. We asked for no cream cheese whenever possible.

-- We experienced Daylight Savings Time near the end of our visit and this confused the heck out of us. We saw 3 different times when comparing my iPhone, a friend's Android phone, the room clocks, and the room TV. In the end, my iPhone was the only one with the right time! The room clocks were an hour ahead and the TV was an hour behind. I still don't know if Cancun actually observes DST or not.

-- During one meal we had trouble communicating to our server that my husband had a dirty water glass (they thought we wanted a plastic glass or something). We ended up using Google Translate to help explain which I think our server really appreciated. So, while I try not to use my phone while on vacation, this is one instance where it helped out for a simple issue.

-- The crowd seemed different and larger on Friday and Saturday. I think lots of locals visit/people fly down for short weekend trips.

-- A few times we ordered liquor that was Premier only, but the bartenders would simply tap their wrist to indicate we couldn't have it so we didn't feel awkward.

-- The main buffet has two food areas and they don't serve identical food; make sure to check out both sides.

-- If you're ordering shots between 5-7pm in the hot tub, I'm pretty sure they contain like 5% alcohol and the rest is just juice or mixer. I'm so glad they added a hot tub but you can tell it is a bit of a sore spot for the staff (people getting too drunk and unruly, worried about safety, etc).

Some general comments about changes I'd like to see at the hotel:

-- Would like more chairs around the Quiet Pool, or at least stricter rules on reserving chairs here. Many people reserve these chairs, which doesn't bother me when you have 200+ chairs available like the Sexy Pool. But with only 20, by the afternoon there are practically none free.

-- Reduce the number of white chairs in the water at the Sexy Pool. They get used and are nice to occasionally sit in, but are awkward to navigate around.

-- Add more towel hooks or bars in the bathrooms. Maybe this is specific to the room we stayed in, but there was just one hook in the entire bathroom. When showering, we had to stack our clean towels on the toilet seat because there was nowhere else to put them.

-- This is sort of an odd one, but the divider in the Sexy Pool bar is too high. By this I mean, if you're standing on the land side ordering a drink, you can't see over the bar wall to watch the games and shows that happen by the buffet entrance. You also can't see people having fun and talking by the main steps. It kills the energy of that space which is sort of a shame. Additionally, it makes the Tower-only seating area behind it more dull. One person with a Tower bracelet commented that they liked having the available chairs, but it 'felt far away from the action' and I think that the high wall is part of the reason why.

And finally, a list of people who made our stay more enjoyable! Wish I could remember more names!

Playmakers: Natasha, Kelly, Dakota, Papi Chulo (Sarid?), Tinkerbell, and of course JJ!

Staff: Ross at Romanza, Saby, Alfredo (bartenders, both of them), Luis at the sexy pool bar, Fernando/Francisco? waiter at Rain for breakfast/lunch, Wendy our maid, server at Sutra whose name started with an S and he'd worked at Temptations for 10+ years, Dulce the massage lady who gave me an excellent 5 min massage by the Quiet Pool one morning, America at the front desk, our driver and server on the yacht (sorry, can't recall their names), the Cuban.

Entertainers/Dancers: No clue what her name is, but the female entertainer with long brown hair and a killer body who rides a motorcycle. She was the Teacher in the Schoolgirl theme night entertainment, and also performed at She. She is so sexy and you can't take your eyes off of her. For the male entertainers, the tall guy with darker skin and dark hair often pulled back into a little bun. He was an amazing dancer and our group commented that he always put something 'extra' into his performances.

We will definitely be back for a future trip. :)

Thanks for posting such a detailed review! My first trip back post-reno was last April, and my impressions were the same as yours. Check out the rooftop deck next time. We loved it up there and thought it was one of the best things in the new resort. It's like the Quiet Pool on crack: awesome pools, view, and food, but generally rather deserted. A little TOO deserted most of the time, but that can be a good thing if you want a break from the circus for a couple of hours.

Roof top is as good as the sexy pool at times! Just have to be there when it turns wild! Plus the food and booze up there is top notch

We have always either been on referral or pink band at new TTR. Are you saying as a white or blue band you can get premium liquor up there?

We spent every afternoon up there last April, and never saw any wildness! Maybe because you guys weren't there? ;)

Not sure cause we only went as members, but if people have to pay an extra $20 / pers/day, there's gotta be a step up.

    Maybe!? ;)

I have to add though that "wildness" really ranges from a person to another. We did spend a few afternoons there on each trip and although not the same party atmosphere as the sexy pool, we met groups in these hot tubs who made the water boil even more!
