Has anyone brought their pre-workouts, creatine, BCAAs, etc through customs/inspections in their checked baggage? Does it count as food products? Just keep it in the original container, not baggies?
I think I remember reading stacia_and_john had some problem at customs with keto powter one time. Might want to PM him about the outcome. of course he peobaly sold them on the diet
I have thrown just regular supplements (green tea extract, CLA, water pills) in my checked bag in the opened containers they came in. Never had a problem, even when my suitcase has gotten the red light for random check.
I sleays bring them sometimes in original containers (preferred) and sometimes not. Mot been searched ever though.
It's not me... Stacia did it. They'd never seen the particular packaging, so we pulled out the little boxes (they're maybe 3"x3"x5") and she did a 15-second elevator explanation and they waved us through. We are NOT into the exercise regimen on vacation... we're on vacation, after all. So, we've no experience with creatine, BCAAs, protein powder cannisters etc., but we know people who have brought them through with no problems as long as in the original packaging. Which, I get it, could be a challenge for some of the larger ones.
Just got back from our 3rd trip and we have taken our pre-workout in its original container each time. Granted, we have not been inspected by customs but we haven’t declared them.
On the subject of supplements, does the drug store fill prescriptions written in the US? (Not asking about bringing the medication through customs, just asking about whether they will honor a US script)
