Yeah I know the feeling. I bought several pairs of those, but they all got returned prior to the trip. Too much laughter and ostracizing went on in my bedroom when trying them out.
Legit, my wife is like, if you wear those, i don't know you on vacation!!!! Hahahaha...Let's just say, they won't be coming with me on this trip and i don't think i will be wearing that style swimwear anytime soon
From my experience, most people wear normal clothes during the evening and show, after the show you may dress to smth more comfortable to dance and drink. Personally, I was in white shorts and a T-shirt. I changed to a button-up dress shirt and nice closed classic toe shoes that I bought at Gentleman's Guru online shop site for the show. In my opinion, you can dress that you want, which is not the particular dress code for this event, you can dress in the ruffle dress, it is very comfortable for these purposes.
