We did a price comparison once on my favorite grey goose vodka... Local pa liquor store < philly airport duty free < Cancun duty free < liquor store across the street from TTR < buying the bottle at TTR We tend to bring a bottle or two from our local liquor store in our bags in a bottle protector bought from Amazon
The bottle protectors are key. We brought wine for the HnH group last year and the protector worked great. Ive had wine bottles break in my bag before and stain all my clothes.
Good to use for lube also. Had a lube malfunction one trip. Water or silicone based it still suck in you sandals.
Was looking for info like this! So there is an actual liquor store we can purchase a bottle or two to take to the resort before leaving the airport? Also, do we have to claim anything or tell them we bought it before walking out? Thanks...
Your aloud 3l per person. We brought 6 bottles 2 weeks ago in our luggage without a problem. Well there was a problem, weight. Ended up needed a extra bag. We didn't have to declare it. Do a quick googlr search to confirm.
Thanks! I was actually asking about purchasing at the airport in Cancun before heading to the hotel to avoid the exact weight problem you had
Yes there is a duty free shop. And also a new shop outside of Terminal 4 just before transportation ...just noticed it last trip. Also a store across the street from TTR if you don't want to go to liquor stores (Europea) or Walmart.
The duty free store right after immigration is great! Prices are exactly what we pay in Ohio if not a dollar or two less just with no tax. Selection is solid. They even had a few bottles we cant get here.
