We booked through Trivago which sent us to Travel up. We got an ocean view for $218 a night in May.

Only thing I'm nervous about is making sure the resort gets the reservation. I emailed them to confirm, just waiting...

Also I'm not sure if the rate included the sales tax but even if it's another 19% at check-in we got a good rate.

I book via trivago as well and bring me to travelup. My confirmation and reservation was all confirmed at TTR.
We got a great deal too and I outbeat the price from a package by 500 $ + 1 night. :)

How did you get single occupancy on that site? I can't get it off double.

I usually use Trivago or TripAdvisor, which then directs me to the 3rd party sites, such as Amoma, Cancelon, Travel Up, Skoosh, Zen hotels, Hotel Power, Otel, LOL Travel, bed finder, etc... I have used Amoma, Travel Up and most recently Skoosh for budget bookings and have always had good results. Only once did I have a delay in the confirmation, but it was for a different resort (Golden Parnassus) and it was resolved quickly.

I will advise, though, that if you book through any of the lower-cost sites, to call Temptation afterward to confirm your booking.

Their phone is 888-299-7705 (from US & Canada)
    or 52-998-193-2389

ZenHotels.com here as well! First time using a booking site rather than travel agent; the savings was worth it. My only concern is making sure that the booking actually made it into TTR's system and not have any issues on arrival. Roxie: everything smooth for you on checkin for your last trip?

you should be good. I have always booked via second party (except one time on referall... i dont suggest referall)contact the resort 2 weeks prior and they have always had my reservation in the books.

6 trips for us and only one reservation was made direct with the hotel. We go with whatever site that has the cheapest price. We have used: Orbitz (2 times) , Cheap Caribbean (1 time), cheap tickets(1 time) Travel Up (1 time), and direct (1 time). The one time direct was for the 2017 cyber sale which was a great deal, every third day free.

Never had any problems calling TTR two weeks in advance to confirm our reservations. Our reservations have always been in their system.
