Hi ive stayed at Temptation before it was renovated, we stayed in an ocean view room overlooking the quiet pool- it was perfect, close to the ocean and not too noisy, but close enough to quickly walk to all the restaraunts/pools and bars. now we aren't sure If we book the same (which I believe is trendy ocean view?), or pay a bit more for the Bash tower ocean view? pros/cons please!? is it true you can only go to the roof top pool and restaurant up there if you have a bash room? thanks ;-)
In the tower ask for a higher level as close to bash it can be noisy. You only have access to the rooftop if you are a premier member or stay in the tower. For us, we never felt apart because we didn't had access. For the amount of time we spend in our room we don't see the point of spending more ( that's just us ). Apparently the food is really good, but not sure if it's premier only. Trendy OV = old ocean room from before just remodel
You can also pay $20 a day to access the roof if you are not in the tower or a premier member. We prefer the tower and didn't find it too noisy. Better sound proofed than old rooms around paty o's. Other advantages are new and we didn't have the moisture issue we sometimes had in old style rooms.
We went in April 2018 and LOVED the rooftop deck. Every day after the pool games at noon, we'd go up there and have lunch...best food at the resort IMHO. It was quite deserted up there last April despite the resort being at capacity, but the view is spectacular, there's nice pools to lounge and socialize in, and it's a nice place to have some down time with your partner for a couple of hours. Hopefully they are playing the music a bit less loud these days, as it was painfully loud. We stayed on referral in April and therefore had access to the roof. We will probably also stay on referral this time (just booked flights today for June 30 to July 5), but if we don't, Expedia currently has the Tower rooms for only about $70 more per night than the basic garden room on an alleged 36-hr sale.
We just got back home, this was the first time we stayed in An oceanfront room and it was amazing!! Will be hard not to book that room again, you literally open the slider and walk onto the beach.
Seems like he is referencing the the "Seduction Beachfront Suites". They would be the only rooms that you could actually walk onto the sand from. The thing with them is there are only 12, and only 3 of them are ground floor with the walk out.
