Just got back after a week at TTR and thought we provide a review while its fresh and to help those out that are wondering what it is like. Being our second time we still feel as if there are misconceptions about this resort. We have some opinions, some facts or merely what we observed while we were there, so please dont shoot the messenger. We also linked our report from our first trip back in 2013, a lot of the same thoughts. Newbie Trip report for Newbies. Trip Details- FEB 16-23, stayed in a jacuzzi room by the quiet pool. Mid 30s couple. Weather was great low 80s all week one spot of rain for 15 mins. Overall average age of crowd 35-45 much younger then last time we were there. Resort/Remodel- The resort was a dump and desperately needed a face look. They pretty much kept the rooms by the quiet pool and the rooms on the other far side, everything in the middle was takes out and redone. The outdoor party area or the old patios is huge and very nice. The pool is also a lot bigger with a swim up bar that is probably twice as a big as before. Structures that were demo did get a face lift and are nicer. Buffet area is probably twice the size it was before. One con we noticed is restrooms for pool and Bash(old patios) are poorly located. It did seem like they sacrificed a lot of space and some common sense for looks, very metro modern look on everything. Also going from the new area to the old is very choppy and broken up now. Food/Drinks- Still have the buffet and the restaurants consisted of Asian, Italian, grill, seafood, Mexican, and an Aphrodisiac experience. Buffet is somewhat improved there is some good things but overall still a very very average buffet experience in both selection and quality. Asian and italian were good, we thought the grill and the Mexican place were ok. Sea food wasn't good, and we didn't try SHE as the menu didn't seem appetizing, didn't hear a whole lot of good from others about SHE while there. Drinks were good but overall shots were very strong this time around. Overall the food is improved and you will find some good things, but end of the day they still are very very average here for their food, if food is your only reason for a trip you will be disappointed here. For Asian, italian, and SHE men have to wear pants and collard shirts. Booze is all middle to higher shelf stuff now that is included, Captain, smirnoff, bacardi, jim beam etc. beer I saw Dos Equis and Coors lights and some other brand. Staff- The staff is very friendly and willing to bend over backwards. They now have about 10 girls and guys running around doing activities vs just 1-2. While friendly this is the second time around we found the bartenders weren't very charismatic or outgoing compared to other places we have been. Room- We stayed on the first floor by the quiet pool with a jacuzzi on the porch. Second time we have stayed by the quiet pool and think we would keep it that way, we like to have fun, but comes a point where we want some peace. Hot tub worked great all week. Room like I said got a facelift, large walk in shower, power blinds, adequate lighting throughout the room. The modern cabinets are kind of dumb and clunky though. AC works better than before as not everything is wet anymore. Doesn't cool to my liking but was adequate. Bed we found to be uncomfortable and they had a plastic cover on the bed (lol smart on their part) which makes you sweat, had to start laying towels down on the bed. Safe in the room and they actually use key cards now vs a regular key like last night. Doors and hallway noise is still loud like before. The fridge in the room was also stocked with water, coke, diet coke, and beer. Pools and beach- Beach and pool are topless, beach was alright but its not where the party is at, frankly nobody is down there. Pool had more chairs then before, but chairs do not recline or decline they are fixed now. There are chairs in the pools as well. If you don't have a spot saved by 0900 you wont have one. The resort clears chairs prior to 0600, so your free to save after that. Pool water was warm and there is about 6-7 jetted circles inside the pool. Overall the pool area is much nicer than before. Waiters for drinks are very nice but still very slow, you get drinks faster by yourself. Again bathrooms for the pool are pretty far away. We also thought the cups around the pool were much larger than before and found ourselfs using our mugs less. ALSO ONE HUGE thing is they have bottle water now at bars in the room, we though that was huge. Lastly dont waste suit case space on towels, theres plenty Overall opinion- Overall still the same great place. Although we did notice that since the remodel they have definitely tried monetizing on a lot more things, like adult tv channels you have to pay for and room service. And the idea of paying $40 just to go to another bar in the tower, yeah they can pound sand for that, doubtful that idea last long as the party is at bash anyways. As far as tower rooms obviously nicer because they are new, but overall not worth the upgrade fee for us. Also we felt the games/activities/atmosphere is more toned down then in the past. I think the hotel is definitely trying for bigger and younger demographic, not a bad thing just an observation. Also not saying there is a bunch of rules now, its just a little more rated nc17 now then it was before. If hardcore level it was a 8 last time, its probably like a 7 now. Common questions/Misconceptions- For those looking but scared, this resort is not a swingers resort or some large orgy, a better example would be an adult frat party. yes there are swingers and in our opinion was maybe 30% of the crowd or so. But you still got random girls kissing, boob grabing etc. End of the day nobody cares who you are and you wont be forced into anything. If your looking for LS stuff we don't think it would be hard but far from a sure bet, might vary week to week. In our opinion think there are still more people wanting to play around then anything. Yes its topless about 80-85% of the women were topless much like last time. Thongs were huge this time we would say probably 70% were wearing thongs vs maybe 10% last time. If it werent thongs then it was cheekys etc. You wont be pressured or looked at weird for doing what you want just throwing out what most are doing. More singles than last time we saw maybe a dozen single men and half a dozen single women. This is our opinion, but the groups of singles looked like they were having fun the solo singles looked bored to us. They made it pretty clear on full nudity and sex was not going to happen. While they said that last time, we felt there was more leway. This time not so much, they very much allow for a great time, its just not the wild west anymore, which for us either way doesnt matter.
Also wanted to include the Boobs Cruise, have to make it at least once during the trip, its such a great time with good drinks and good buffet lunch. here you will find naked people and sexual activity, but its more light hearted or in games vs just 100 people out for an orgy. Women you will b pressured to take your top off, if you think youll hold out. good luck.
Forgot to add they have WiFi now it’s free but you have to sign up for some social account to get it. Either way WiFi was really no better than Verizon service. Which whatever we only used our phones morning and evening to make quick admin checks at home that was about it.
Yes it's new. You can get slow speed without signing up for the Temptation Social network. For high speed you have to join and then they give you a code. Was there in Nov and didn't have to sign up.
If you sign up for the social account, can you use 2 devices on the wifi? Or would my husband and I have to sign up with our own separate accounts so we could each use the wifi?
Not sure. Probably per phone would be my guess. I didn’t get the code. Tbh didn’t really care was just interested in text and phone calls which Verizon worked ok for that
