Hey guys! TTR virgins here. Me and the wife are looking to visit later this year some time either in Nov, Dec, or Jan. Anyone have advice on a month that is preferred over the others (weather, parties, people)? Thanks for the input!
November before it gets to cool. We go in late October and weather is great and the pool is warm. Great people and groups in November too as is almost all months.
I second the November motion. We've gone the past two years in November and the weather has been PERFECT! The days are warm but not too hot and the evenings are warm but not muggy. Just booked the 14th - 17th for our third consecutive November.
I would say early October - I feel that is the last time where the weather and pool are warm.... we went in mid-October and felt that the pool was a little chilly. Now... that does change by the end of the day once you're drunk and the pool has filled with pee. lol (I kid, I kid), but for real though, a cool pool does dampen a trip.
Hmm.... on that note, maybe I should check outbound flights to Cancun tomorrow.... {furiously begins searching every travel website simultaneously}
October is still storm season isn’t it though? that has us a bit nervous.. but I guess with enough alcohol we won’t care if it’s raining
Been 9 times, once in November, all others were from late Feb to mid April. Our favorite is early to mid April.. people are basically the same anytime we have been there. Except mid March seems to be more frat boys..
I think technically, yes, October is still storm season. But, with that said, we've been to Cancun for 6 consecutives Octobers and have never had a problem with weather. The worst weather we've seen is June. (Although, June was HOT.)
Thanks for that! We had our first trip to TTR in January and we'd prefer better weather next time (no complaints though ), and (already) booked our second trip the only other time we can go anywhere, which is November.. so that's excellent to know..!
