Would anyone be into the idea of going to a club off the resort one night that the theme is kinda lame? Maybe Sunday the 14th?
I suggest you wait to plan anything officially until after you get there. We’ve gone off resort many times and also while staying other places. Not worth the effort in my opinion unless you get a group to do Coco Bongos... that’s an experience everyone needs once.

Edit: These things include mini dresses, sexy hot pants and bodysuits. I would wear all of these out on the tourist strip in Cancun. At home it’s jeans and a version of a black shirt. Too hot in Cancun to rock my regular uniform. The main reasons we only go to the clubs while staying at other resorts include 1. Friends-there are always so many people on resort to hang with 2. Cost- why bother spending $100-200 to get into a club when there is a party at the resort which I already paid for 3. Most importantly Safety. I can’t even go to the restroom in a club on the strip without an escort. It’s hard to let my guard down and relax. Sunday won’t be slow at Bash. New people arrive everyday so the party is always on.
That was not a club anywhere near where you would go or the kind of place you would be unless a local or cartel.
We plan to stay at the resort. We were thinking about this because we’ve always done stuff away from the hotel, but most resorts don’t have a nightlife like this one.
