Question for you cruise veterans... is it difficult to get pool seating? Sorry we enjoy poolside seats basking in the sun on vacation. Know that doesn’t matter to the party 24 hour crowd but the 8am- 11am poolside nap helps me survive on these vacations ha I just imagine space being a premium on the cruise? Is this typically an issue?
Never sat at the pool on a cruise.... balcony naps though are a different subject..... But I wouldn't plan on a lot of napping around the pool at anytime as pool areas are usually semi indoors (open to the sun but surrounded by wall) and therefore not the most quite place on the boat. Jamie
With all the people booking the cruise, I am thinking the sexy pool at TTR is going to be a little more quiet than normal during this time.
So I guess I should shift a little then in the question. I would assume the day time fun is similar to TTR partying pool side and/or enjoying some sun. Is that accurate on a cruise? Are there enough places to lie and get some sun? Or is it the type of thing where you need to get up really early to reserve a chair near the action and/or in the sun?
Since this is the first for a Temptation style, as opposed to a Desires style, I think the onboard sexy pool workings are going to be determined. But I'll be totally honest, like I said before, I never sat around the pool on any cruises I did, too many kids. So I really have no idea how early you have to get out there to reserve a seat or even how many seats versus passengers there will be. I'm pretty sure that tagging seats at 9 PM for the next day isn't going to work because cruise ships usually frown on that. Jamie
Yeah I think my concern is pretty valid. On a normal cruise what percentage want to be by the pool partying and in the sun? Probably way less than the amount that do on a TTR cruise. Hopeful the ship can handle the demand.
Well, you raise a good question, but keep in mind that two days, the boat will be fucked at Grand Cayman and Cozumel. So.... By my account (and you can trust me, I'm an accountant), this should only matter on day 2 and Day 5 as I would imagine other days, a lot of people will go explore. Day 1 could be a mad dash for the pool... Or it could be people exploring the boat, etc. Overall, I think you'll be fine. Plus, Darin has already offered to reserve you a chair, and in the event that he falls, something tells me Jen could sweet talk sometim into sharing a chair.
