I appreciate our American tendency to want to "take something to fix"... insert malady here, since we've been so well trained by prescription drug companies (*Holding up drum as I beat it*), but spending money on something to take, drink, ingest to cure a problem which is so easily... avoidable seems odd to me. Hydrate. Even more important when drinking. More so when in Mexico sun. Even more so when standing around or in water. Drink a drinky-drink. Water. Drink a drinky-drink. Water. Alternate all day long.
Hydration is the key. Drink more water, with or without electrolytes, than alcohol drinks. Pee early and often!
UPDATE: Just got my shipment of the Liquid IV in acai berry flavor. It tastes like a buttered English muffin. I shit you not. Dont get me wrong, I love a fresh buttered muffin with my eggs, but it's just so far from what I expected its offputting. *barf*
While I certainly agree with the whole hydration thing to mitigate hangovers - for me if I drink enough water to in fact do that - I'm never buzzed enough to truly enjoy TTR to the fullest. Water = buzzkill
Ha! So true! Which is probably why many of us plan to drink more water but don't actually do it once we're good and buzzed. I like to at least start out well fed and hydrated and to try and remember to drink water at the end of the night!
But we all know the real answer but don’t want to admit it...to avoid hangovers don’t drink! But where is the fun in that, well for most of us. I do know several whom have given up drinking or have never drank and also seem to have a good time.
Our liquid IV electrolyte packets arrived today. That and some Advil at bedtime along with plenty of water mixed in during the day will keep us in good shape!
