We're due in TTR in exactly 2 weeks. Last night i ruptured my Achilles playing basketball. I'll be waiting for surgery until we return. Im pretty much only able to stand or walk short distances. Has anyone been there with a similar problem?

Not been there with an injury but I can comment on the size of the resort. It's not overly large so it won't be difficult to get everywhere. The only real issue you'll have is if you aren't staying in the tower. There are stairs leading to some areas. There's also stairs down to the buffet however you can go outside and take the ramp. It'll be a bit of a hike for you. Will you have crutches or a walking boot?

Sorry about your injury. You probably recall hearing the 'pop'. When you have crutches or a cane, the airport security and customs folks will often bump you to the front of the line. Be extra careful on tile floors... so slippery in any event and even worse with a gloss finish and the humidity/dampness.
Think about buying or renting a knee scooter (it's non-motorized and folds. You kneel your injured leg on it, and scooter with your good one. So handy... loved mine for 3mths ankle reconstruction recovery). Good for zooming around TTR too. I put a drink cup holder on the handle bars! It also came with a basket. Easy to sell afterwards and you'll love it for post-surgery

This sounds like all I've ever done at Temptation.

Walk to bar, get drink, people watch, drink drink, order another drink, sit down, people watch, drink drink, walk to hot tub, sit down, order drink, drink drink....etc.

The mrs had the same injury and felt with it for 3 years, it didn't stop her from having a great time. We stayed in the tower last trip and the elevators came in real handy. She had surgery 5 days after we got home.

Ask to stay in a ground level room. We stayed quiet side near the washrooms and it was a 20 second hop to the sexy pool.
