Has anyone been to this place and how does it compare to Temptation in terms of the night life, dance club?
We're members at EDSS and actually going after spending a week at TTR. We party at TTR then go to EDSS to relax and unwind before heading home. Definitely NOT a party resort. AMAZING accommodations, food and service though. The best in the Mayan as far as we're concerned... and we've been to pretty much every chain now hahaha
It's boring as all hell haha but fantastic food, service etc. Even get a pillow menu. Mostly wealthy (read snobby) Europeans when we were there. So after 4 days we went next door to Hidden Beach. Hung out with some 65+ year old nudists hahaha, they were way more fun...
Were you able to go over to Hidden Beach even though you weren't staying there?? We stayed at hidden beach the last time but it was out of our price range this time. We'd much rather be over there!
We transferred over for an extra $100/night. But we were still able to use all of the amenities/restaurants/etc at EDSS. The spa at EDSS is amazing. But like we said - the whole place is strictly for relaxing and if that's what you want you can't beat it for that and the services.
We went last August and like others have said, it doesn’t even compare to TTR. Partying is almost nonexistent. And toplessness is not allowed at the pools, and very rare at the beach. I think I only saw maybe two women topless in 10 days. The accommodations is really nice though. Try the tuna sandwich on the room service menu. It’s not your average tuna sandwich. It was my second favorite thing there, first being the BBQ chicken and jalapeño pizza at the beach bar.
Tammy was hoping to be Topless, guess not, if no one else is. At least we can be nude at Hidden Beach. Have to spend her birthday in her birthday suit. We will try the Tuna sandwich. Thank you. Guess we will have to try TTR.
