We were told we could have half an hour free wi-fi (bear in mind we're fresh off a 10 hour flight, 5 hour time difference & exhausted!) to sign up to the new social website, download a code to enter when the half hour was up......Jeez! Although a friend said that their phone remembered the old 12345678 password and it worked? (I have had a new phone since then, so don't know) We had to switch between two networks though, Temptation in the rooms, and Playground Temptation by the pool.
I've just ordered a local sim card via Amazon for 21GBP with loaded data, etc.. Hopefully that will suffice our needs..
I think I mentioned this before but it was probably in the thread about their Social group. Yes, you can only get decent Internet if you're in their group or pay for it. This change was about 2 months ago. When I was there last my phone remembered the old password, but the connection was so bad I turned it off and relied on 4G since I have a local plan. Not sure, how they think making people join a social group just to get free Internet will make the group a success. Indeed, as I expected it is just one long string of one time posts, usually a selfie with next to no conversation at all. This is what you see when you try to access the wifi now:
Great question. But @Steve is a member if I recall. And he had issues. So I suppose we may join and post once just to get freakin good WiFi Unfortunately, we both have jobs that sometimes forces us to actually do real work with file uploads and downloads and good WiFihelps. Working for a living really sucks! So does this new BS of having to join another group to get the WiFi!...just my 2.5 cents.
