Any suggestions on romantic restaurants outside of ttr?

Hi All,

My love and I are newbies to TTR, and totally looking forward to our trip in May. My question is are there any romantic restaurants outside of the resort that you would suggest? We are all about exploring and I would like to experience things outside of the resort and the listed excursions... In other words I am looking for "date night" venues that you would suggest. We are BIG FOODIES so a good steak house or good Mexican food (We are from California so we are seeking out the authentic Mexican food ) establishment would be great.

We do date night at the resort, but like you will explore a little more this year. I proposed to my wife at this resort, in 2014, by the sexy pool one evening before dinner. I will never forget how afraid I was.

We love Harrys and is usually are only escape besides the Boobs Cruise. Not cheap but worth it.

 

What is not cheap? 200 USD?

 

$150-$200 with drinks if getting normal options as in NOT Kobe beef or a large lobster. Comparable to a US steakhouse in a major city.

You can request a table too on the water that is very romantic (overlooking the lagoon)

We really enjoyed Lorenzillos on our last trip. Excellent food and wine and a lagoon view with gators!

 

Sam here. I would agree that Harry's Grill is the place. Sindy and I always try to go there each trip. Cab ride is about $20us each way. Here's a tip. You can choose to pay in USD or pesos. Pay in Pesos with a card that has free currency conversion. You will save about 30%.
