Traveling next week, what kind of pricing is on the sun screen at the resort and do they carry tolietries (shampoo, hair spray etc.) as well? Dont want to leave the resort once we're there but dont want to check a bag at the airport if its just as cheap to buy when we're there! Thanks!!

We’ve seen over $20 for suntan lotion, which is a good example of cost at the hotel store.

Other toiletries and consumables are available at the resort and at stores and pharmacies across the street. Walmart is about an hour for a round trip from the hotel.

Hotel items are most expensive. Nearby stores a bit less. Walmart is cheapest.

Might be cheaper to buy in Cancun than paying for a checked bag fee though.?

    Have a great holiday !!

We always buy sunscreen across the street and to the left a bit. On average it's about $12 usd.

The pharmacy across the street to the left (google "My Friend Plaza Nautilus") is reasonable for lotions and such ($10-15 US). It's just a 3 minute walk and literally has a bit of everything, pharmacy, drinks, mixers, souvenirs, smokes - all cheaper than what you will get in the store in Temptation. I usually bring my favorite stuff, and any extras, it's easier to buy than worry about the extra luggage weight.

Also FYI: if you're Premier or going on a referral, you have access to the spa daily to use the water therapies. The spa change rooms have the best showers, soaps, shampoos and lotions for free :)

Lori bought the organic reef-safe stuff from a vendor that they allowed to peddle at the sexy pool one year for about $15 but it didn't work very well. I think it's about that price in the souvenir shop too-

BnK makes a good point about cost of checking an extra bag -overpriced toiletries still cost less than checked luggage on the flights I take but how do you fit all the sexy shoes to go with your costumes in your carry on? Not to mention any of the other fun cylindrical* shaped things, right?

*I'm referring to things such as your own wine, of course...;)

Thats what I was debating, is the cost of buying there going to be about the same as my checked bag. I dont plan on packing too much clothing ;) so I should have room for shoes & "wine", plus I can always put any spill over into the husbands carry on (like "wine":D).

Can you shed some additional light on the "spa" free water therapy stuff?
We are going on a referral.

We forgot once too and paid 30. We don’t check bags. We bought a few 3oz empty bottles and put sunscreen and that other slippery stuff in them so we have plenty and don’t have to check bags
