So I was wondering if any one could tell me a little more about the Sky Bar and how do you get access to it... We booked a room in Bash tower , will we have access? Also, until what time the jacuzzis are open? Wasnt able to book a room with one which made us real sad
Yes, if staying in the tower you'll have access to the Sky Bar. Premier members or Referrals also have access. Others have to pay $20pp. Food and the views are really good up there, it's often quiet but definitely worth checking out.
I think the hot tubs and the entire area shut down at 6pm. Food is excellent. Private DJ who I preferred to the main pool. Great view. A nice pool which is set at a better depth than the main pool too. The only down side is that it closes early, its completeky closed 1 or 2 days a week and it's less social as there are less people. I loved it, especially in winter months because of the access to the two hot tubs.
I concur with what both prior posts. But I would go as far as saying that the food is the best in resort for lunch and quality and taste wise rivals all of the dinner restaurants even though it only has a lunch menu. If only it was open for dinner. I made the trip up there for lunch almost everyday on my last trip - it gives you a bit of break from the craziness of the sexy pool.
The Skybar was one of our favorite areas on the resort. As Len said , it is a place to escape some of the craziness of the pool. Some days you just aren't feeling the poolside Jenga or wildest sex position contest but still want to be surrounded by sexiness. The Skybar is your place on those days. It has a chill sexy vibe and as many have stated has one of the best best lunch menus on the resort. I hope and expect to see this become a much more popular location.
Damn we only land in cancun at 6 PM... I guess we will have to wait until the next day to check it out
The Sky Bar is definitely the best add to the new resort in our opinion. It has much more of an intimate pool Club like feel up there and when the DJ is playing EDM style music (more typical up there then at Bash) then we love it. Note: we understand all do not. But we agree this was very under utilized. And the dreams of a great party with the space being fully utilized is a primary reason why we choose to go with the takeover group in early April. Cant wait to see how it plays out.
Pool and tubs are a lot warmer than the ones downstairs. In Nov/Dec, the pool must have been in the 90s and hot tubs over a 100. It is the best environment for sexy things happening yet it rarely does compared to the crazy hot tub at Bash. Really need to keep that place open later or even make it a real playground at night. We were up there for dinner one night and it has all the perfect lighting and sexiness to make the best "group bump and grind" party.
The hot tub was great at sky bar. One was shutdown, but that was probably for the better as it encouraged a lot of people to pile into one. We spent more time at the sky pool / hot tub than the sexy pool during our over Xmas stay. Met some real great people up there. The food there is also the best as Len already said. Too bad it’s not open for Dinner I’d probably make that my main place to eat my entire stay. All in all, the sky bar is great the way it is. Having it open after thebash show or late night pool would be great.
