The resort has quite an array of different rooms available. We're non members and booked to stay in the quiet pool area. Im thinking of upgrading. I travel quite a bit for work and am a Marriott Platinum Premier Member so Im pretty picky when it comes to hotel rooms. I was hoping to get the following feedback: What type of room did you stay in? Rate the room 1-10 Value 1-10 notable things you liked or didn't like. Hopefully this thread helps all the newbies like myself going forward.
Trendy Garden View 3rd floor across from the gym. Partial ocean view. Close to both the sexy pool and quiet pool. Location excellent. Only negative but not bad but a little bass from bash if you went to bed before it shut down. I give it a 9/10.
We loved the convenience of basic bash tower rooms on our Halloween 2018 trip, close to everything, noise from the bash tower at night wasn't a issue although I recommend the rooms on the ramp side of the tower to avoid the loud fan noise from the AC chillers right outside your door for the rooms that are towards the street side. View was great I'm pretty sure we are bash tower room snobs from this point forward. LOL T
So I went to reference photos on my phone as I figured it would only help to have photos to support my room ratings. I haven't uploaded all of them to my account on here due to space limitations (see my albums if you want to see already uploaded photos of the rooms) and 'naughty part exposure rules' ha. So I went to my iPhone and selected the places option so I could zoom right in on the Cancun photos. I actually have 1535 photos of Cancun over the years (TTR, Desire, etc.) and only 1933 of where I live (holidays, family, etc.). I think my priorities are all screwed up lol
Is it fair to say you need to book a Plush Jacuzzi Room or a Seduction Beachfront suite in order to guarantee a room by the quiet pool? I know there are garden and ocean view rooms there but getting them is luck of the draw, right?
I evelive you’re correct. We booked on cheap carribean and the only way to book by the quiet pool was to pay for the jacuzzi room.
We must have gotten lucky because we paid the basic graden view and had a 2nd floor room next to the quiet pool.
I’m also guessing if they have room on the quiet pool side and you ask nicely, they might give you a room there.
