If you think about it your membership is about the benefits within it.
The member booking price is nothing more than a price guarantee, which can occasionally be beat by 3rd parties or even a referral price which I used booking for it April as it was $228
If they gave the benefits without putting them against your days you could literally buy the minimum days package and book 3rd party and never use any days up and quite literally turn a 75 day package of benefits into 100's

They know if a lot of people have time to think about it from a sound financial standpoint, instead of an emotional "we're having a blast right now" standpoint, they'll most likely lose.

Its actually not even a true "timeshare". It's basically a SLIGHTLY reduced upfront payment/financed with interest, for future visits, minus the all inclusive fee.

Correct it is not a Time Share.
Not everybody finances it either so no interest if you pay in full.
You can reduce the cost of your visit by selling your Referrals. We have made a minimum of $1500 each year since buying in.
But there is much more to it than just TTR or even any of the Original Resorts.
Your weeks can be transferred to RCI or SFX. this was why we bought in. I saved $3000 on the first family vacation I booked through SFX at a true 5 Star resort.

I do agree it is not a traditional timeshare but most think of it as on, hence my comment...a modified timeshare concept since a deed is obtained.
Yes it is a prepaid fee to “guarantee” an ever changing room rate but does also “guarantee” the ever changing benefits, meaning they can change whenever.
Hence the “deed” is for nothing more than a concept.
    No matter, we like it.
We don't sell our Referrals but save for friends that want to try it but also experience the same benefits as us. We do mot require that they sit through the presentation unless they are truely interested. We also dont care about the $250 either way as they are friends. it is only $250 and it makes no difference in our lives.
Hell, we piss that away on one good dinner and drinks with same friends.

Peace with you @Vince & Wendy as we are just all supplying information, opinions, and experiences.
