Not sure why people would be worried about a takeover group - think they would probably be a fun bunch - all about the vibe for us......
I have been known to post pro takeover and then minutes later against a takeover so I guess I am saying I see both sides. Cons: Can separate the party if they have something exclusive to them. Like at sky bar Can change the vibe if you have a group that knows each other and keeps to themselves And what bothers me the most...prices tend to be higher as they book a block and then charge a higher rate to cover the parties, entertainment, gift bags and most are, believe it or not, going to make a profit Pros: If you find a group that has similar interests then the party can be intense You can typically look online at who is going from the group and see if you are compatible The entertainment they provide helps with those who don’t like the same old music from the house dj You know with a takeover the resort is likely to be very full or sold out
We've been during takeovers and non-takeovers and had fun every time. I could barely tell a difference and we made friends with plenty of people who were part of the takeover, but would rather hang out with the non-takeover people.
Great news that its a possibility of meeting up again. My advice Kyle: Let your conscience be your guide... You know what you have to do, get there for the last weekend in April. As @Partyometer correctly pointed out, we have nothing to fear from a takeover- They are the ones who should be afraid!!
yes, there's a couples gone wild thingy? vacation parties or something like that? If anyone has any experiences of them of their group we would be grateful!
