The sushi joint is fantastic. We kept going back there. No reservations as long as you don't care to sit at the hibachi grill
For newcomers.....the focus on themes this year was to choose themes within the resort theme. From past experience i have spoken to more than a few people about how they didnt bring stuff their first trip thinking themes werent a big deal and they would be the only ones dressing up..... then they really regreted it. No excuse this year......you can check out the theme night thread for a few examples too. Although I know many will see them and immediately plan how they can take these PG examples and show up being a Rated R Superstar. 2019 SHITSHOW THEME NIGHTS- February 16 to 22
For all the people in this thread, this is a great place to chat and get to know each other before the chaos starts at the pool. Commonalities and who you kind of jive with, not that any of us are off putting of course hehe. In 2013 I spent a lot of time here just yakin and getting to know people. The heart beat you step into the pool space and people recognize you, it truly makes you feel at home. It just makes the vacation that much more fun. As for theme night, we are totally with Brent and Kells, theme nights are one of the reasons we go. If you need help, or you need pieces while your there, hit up your friends and see what you can make!
It looks like we should have booked a bit earlier, guess we will have to time it a bit better next year.
Do they have actual sushi there, like salmon and tuna (raw fish) or mainly just california rolls or cucumber rolls with no actual raw fish?
Oh shit, its going to be yummy! its my favorite food. I was told all of the places are up to par now too.
Yes they have shishmi (or how ever you spell it), but they always have. That's where I discovered I like it was at TTR.
We are coming 13-17, short trip, but at least we'll make it to see most of our friends! We intend to start early and power-party the entire time!
Since this will be our first time here it's great to have something like this forum to get an idea of what to expect. The rubber duck idea is genius! I can already tell that this is going to be one hell of a trip.
